La Piadina is an always evolving and changing place. Where food, taste and pleasures blend together with plastic dinosaurs and super monsters. Where fresh Italian ingredients get mixed with care and mastery, placed over thin flatbreads, and served to you on custom made wooden boards.
La Piadina is coffee too. Tasty coffee. Dark coffee. Made to please you.
La Piadina is driven by the Zizioli's brothers. Damiano, Fausto and Mauro (D.F.M.).
They will make you feel at home. And if the vibe will not ease you in, a Nutellino will definitely do the trick.
Piadina is a classic Northern Italian dish. It's a flat bread from the region of Emilia Romagna. It originated in ancient times before the Roman Empire was established.
At La Piadina we make it the traditional way. The dough is made daily on premise, stretched and cooked on the hot plate fresh for each order. Folded in a half and served on a thick chopping board. Filled with freshly sliced prosciutto, stracchino and rocket (like our N.3), or with buffalo mozzarella, roasted cherry tomatoes and basil (the N.9). Our menu is essential, with 11 fixed choices. Plus 11 specials that we shuffle daily.
Our piadinas are all natural and yeast free, made with:
- Mix of flours
- Filtered water
- Ex v olive oil
- Himalayan salt
You could choose any of the piadina with our 100% organic Kamut dough which is low in gluten and rich in proteins.
And if you feel naughty, we have Nutellinos waiting for you. Little treats made with our piadina dough and filled with Nutella.
IL NOSTRO CAFFE' E' BUONO.
Spritz is a very addictive aperitif from Northern Italy. It's made with Aperol, Prosecco and soda, with a slice of orange in it.
However in our hometown of Brescia, people prefer to drink in with the more bitter Campari, instead of Aperol.
Are you feeling bitter or sweet??
We have beer.
We have wine.
We have prosecco.
3 brothers from Brescia, an industrial city in Northern Italy.
They come from a different age group, but they share the same passion for piadina and food.
They all moved to Sydney at the age of 25: Damiano in 2000, Fausto in 2006 and Mauro in 2010.
When Fausto and Damiano opened La Piadina in June 2008 many people thought they would not make it because piadina was unknown at that time in Sydney. Well, they are still here and many people know what a piadina is now. In the beginning it was just an idea and now it's a beautiful reality. They are very proud to have brought the first real piadineria in Sydney and in Australia.
They would especially like to thank all of their supporters. Most importantly the ones which have been customers since the early days and helped them grow their piadineria.
